Michael & Michael 4-16 to 4-22

Do not fear the journey, the destination is worth the fight!!!

Days 90 thru 96 – 10 hours  317.5 to go

No, I haven’t given up on this project & Yes, I have been pitiful about posting – I have been on the road (VT to NH to MA) for the last five days & I don’t know how to transfer my distribution list to my laptop – but will get help to figure out so I can keep this up – it is good discipline for me to do this on a daily basis – I don’t want to get lazy about this, my Lord was not lazy about His walk to Calvary!!!

this week has been special – Sunday’s visits @ the nursing home were quite powerful – please pray for Pauline who is very close to death – she has been another grandmother to me as I have come to know her better over the last few years of visiting and praying together – she is a wonderful lady who has brought much joy to me and others who call her friend & I will miss her very much

Monday after morning prayers, I left my breviary at the place I was working along with a duffle bag that also contained DI, another short book by St. Alphonsus and other stuff for my road trip – I hope that UPS will deliver today or tomorrow (I have lots of chapters to catch up on in Divine Inspiration

Without my breviary and other books I turned to contemplative prayer and simply spent time praying about my life, the life of my friends and family.  I prayed about what to do and what not to do; what to say and what not to say.  I spent time giving thanks for the many blessings and time contemplating the challenges I am facing at this time – it’s all good & I know I left the books so that I could do what God wanted me to do – pray, listen, be at peace with my lot in life and “keep straight the path”

My chaplets were for the earthquake victims in China & the victims of the oil rig explosion – I continued my novena for Pope Benedict and said rosaries for various people I was inspired to pray for

I will be starting a new book, The Cloud of Unknowing, which is about contemplative prayer – thanks Larry and Janet, I will leave a copy @ Mystic Manor for you

Please pray with me for direction for Will of the Father Ministries – I have lots and lots of thoughts about talks but have not been able to get much down on paper – I have to get this done so I can get approval from the diocese to begin this teaching ministry – I know God wants me to do this, but I struggle with God’s time or my time – He may want me to continue to study. learn, and pray some more; it may also be me dragging my feet and an unconscious reluctance to make this big step – I want so much to do His will but am confused as to what is Michael’s will and what is the will of the Father.

I just snuck a peek at today’s morning prayer (I still have my old one volume breviary) & of course, since it’s Friday there is Psalm 51 as well as the reading from ACTS 5: 30 The God of our ancestors raised Jesus, though you had him killed by hanging him on a tree. 31 God exalted him at his right hand 5 as leader and savior to grant Israel repentance and forgiveness of sins. 32 We are witnesses of these things, as is the Holy Spirit that God has given to those who obey him."

There’s that reminder to obey – the cycle continues – Trust in God, obey his Word, and BE HUMBLE – we are all called to be saints; even Michael

Peace
